Something I learned I like doing is documenting failure. Failure might be a harsh word so another term for them in my mind would be “Learning Shots,” at least when talking about taking pictures. I like uploading and documenting the odd positioned and out of focus mishaps because it’s a method of tracking my growth and plus makes me a little more confident with each photo. Practice makes perfect and enjoying a walk through my cities park I had an opportune time to practice.

This Northern Cardinal was a great little helper with my photography because he seemed to have stayed in one place only moving once he saw me getting close under his tree. I learned a great deal about my camera and it’s use outside but also learned more about this bird by watching his movement and listening to his calls. Something about birds in particular makes me happy to see and watch them. In the future I hope to find more birds to watch and learn about in the wild and in captivity. So thanks little cardinal for helping me with photography and reinforcing my love of animals and my new hobby.
