Cantrips. Those small non-leveled spells that are usually cast in the first few levels of your tabletop game and then forgotten when you get higher level. Only a few of these level 0 spells with some utility usually stick around all the way into higher levels in my tabletop experiences such as predestination. One problem I believe is the damage output, range and usefulness of cantrips. Why would you waste valuable time during your turn and only action to cast a Firebolt when you have a Fireball or Firestorm to cast. Advanced Cantrips is an answer to this problem or at least a fun option pending DM approval to empower cantrips and make them tempting options at higher level play.

I designed Advanced Cantrips to scale in power as normal but with extra options, damage and even a mastery extra ability at level 11. Level 17 might make more sense for something to be considered mastery but these are still cantrips that are learned early on plus I’d like to think earlier available options are more fun for any player. These cantrips also open up new levels of RP and storytelling. Perhaps your character has an attachment to a cantrip and prefers it over other higher level spells. Maybe there is a greater emphasis on leveling and practice, thus using these simple spells should scale and level up the more you learn, practice and pursue knowledge. Or maybe your adventuring party is in a world where higher level magic is hard to find or only available to the rich and elite of a world, but do not worry because a cantrip over time can be just as powerful as any high level spell.

Whatever the world, style of play or preferred spell Advanced Cantrips homebrew is here for your viewing pleasure. Take a look, download, share and I hope you enjoy some of these empowered cantrips in your next game.
